April 22, 2025Bishop Steve asks for your prayers for the repose of the soul of Holy Father Francis, who died the morning of April 21st in Rome. It is customary to pray the Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be throughout the day upon the death of a Pope. The Eternal Rest prayer is also appropriate. Bishop Steve celebrated a Mass for Pope Francis on April 21st 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral and will celebrate another Mass for him at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23. Please note that there will be no Mass or Confession at St. Nicholas Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 23. All are encouraged to attend the 7pm Mass at Sacred Heart that day. Novena for Pope Francis Printed booklets of this Novena will be available next to the bulletin boards in the Atrium before Mass on Tuesday, April 22nd.
